Robert McEwen, MBA, CIC
President

Robert has more than twenty years of experience in the insurance industry. He began his career at the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) where he worked for eight years as a senior financial analyst and liquidation oversight manager. While at TDI, Robert conducted financial analysis of insurance companies to ascertain solvency and supervised the liquidation of some of the largest insurance receiverships in Texas. Robert has been with The Parks Group, Inc. since September 2003 when the Austin office commenced operation. He has years of experience underwriting all lines of business. He attained his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 2005 and is currently more than halfway through his Certified Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. Robert graduated with honors from The University of Texas at Austin with both a B.B.A. and M.B.A. He is a member of the Independent Insurance Agents of Austin, the Austin Association of Insurance Professionals (AAIP) and served on the Board of Directors of the Texas Surplus Lines Association (TSLA).

Mary Gunn, CPCU, CIC

Mary's background in the insurance industry dates back over thirty years and encompasses a wide range of experience involving both underwriting commercial accounts for a large national carrier, as well as customer service and account management for various independent agencies and national brokers. In addition, she has been active as a contract instructor for the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas (IIAT) and various other professional organizations. Mary is actively involved in the Independent Insurance Agents of Tarrant County, Independent Insurance Agents of Dallas, Independent Insurance Agents of Houston. She is also involved in FIWT, Tarrant County Insurance Professionals, and the Insurance Women of the Metroplex. Mary has held many offices and honorary titles in each of these. Mary currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Insurance Women of the Metroplex and is a past President of the Federation of Insurance Women of Texas (FIWT). She is highly regarded among Texas independent agents and has helped train many in our industry. Mary has obtained both the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designations.

Pauline Sippel

Originally from Rochester, New York, Pauline moved to Austin in 2016. Her product knowledge includes Property, Casualty, Liquor Liability and Inland Marine and her experience includes over nine years working in the commercial E&S industry with both MGAs and insurance companies. She began her career at Arch Re Facultative Underwriters in Farmington, Connecticut. Shortly thereafter, she moved to Atlanta to work for Southern Insurance Underwriters. Most recently, she was employed by Maxum Specialty Insurance as an underwriter in the binding division for more than five years. Pauline has a Bachelor of Arts from Oswego State University in 2000 and attained her AINS, AU and ASLI designations in 2012.

Tanya began her Insurance career in 2009 with The Hull Agency in Benbrook, Texas. While working for the Hull Agency, she gained knowledge in various aspects of the Property & Casualty business. Tanya began working for The Parks Group Inc, in 2012 and provides support to the Underwriters as well as handling, claims, cancellations and Surplus Lines Stamping Office reports. She is in the process of earning her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation and is an active member of the Insurance Women of the Metroplex.
